The Venue
Our wedding will be held at the beautiful Relais d'Arpette, nestled in the Swiss Alps. This charming mountain lodge offers breathtaking views and a cozy atmosphere.
Getting There
By Air
The nearest major airports are:
- Geneva International Airport (GVA) - 2.5 hours by train
- Zurich Airport (ZRH) - 3.5 hours by train
- Basel Airport (BSL) - 3 hours by train
We recommend flying into Geneva and renting a car from there.
By Train
The nearest train station is Martigny, which is well-connected to major Swiss cities:
- From Geneva Airport: 2 hours
- From Zurich Airport: 3.5 hours
- From Basel Airport: 3 hours
From Martigny, take the local train to Orsières (30 min), then a bus to Champex-Lac (20 min). We'll organize shuttles from Champex-Lac to Relais d'Arpette.
Final Leg to the Relais
Getting to the wedding venue:
- • For skiers: Take the Champex-Lac lift and ski directly to the chalet. You can either ski with your belongings or load them onto a snowcat.
- • For non-skiers: We'll arrange snow cat transportation to the Relais
Detailed transportation arrangements and timing will be provided closer to the date.

Where to Stay
Stay at Relais d'Arpette
We highly recommend staying directly at Relais d'Arpette, where all the festivities will take place. The Relais is beautifully situated on the ski slopes of Domaine skiable de Champex-Lac, offering a true alpine experience. Please let us know if you are interested in staying at the Relais, so we can reserve a room for you. We have a special rate for wedding guests depending on the room type (dormitory ~40chf pp, double room ~70chf, etc.)
Alternative Options
There are numerous accommodation options available in the town of Champex-Lac, including a variety of hotels and holiday rentals to suit different preferences and budgets. Preferential rates will be available at select hotels in Champex-Lac. To reach the town, you can either ski down on your own with a headlamp or take a snowcat shuttle from the Relais (~10min).

March is prime skiing season in the Swiss Alps, and you're already making the journey so pack those skis (or rent them here).

- Champex-Lac (wedding location) - Part of Ski St-Bernard, your pass includes access to La Fouly, Champex-Lac and Vichères-Liddes. Perfect mix of slopes right at our venue!
- Les Marecottes (20 min from Martigny) - A hidden gem known for excellent freeride opportunities. Perfect for adventurous skiers looking for untouched powder.
- Ovronnaz - Charming smaller resort combining family-friendly slopes with great freeride terrain. An ideal spot for mixed-ability groups looking for fun.
- Verbier (40 min drive) - The classic high-end Alpine experience. World-renowned slopes, luxury amenities, and the quintessential Swiss ski atmosphere.
Pro tip: Book your extended stay early — March is high season and accommodations fill up quickly!
